Exciting things are happening!

First off a huge thank you to everyone who attended the first meeting of the Tasmanian Modern Quilt Guild a few weeks ago. We were absolutely thrilled that we had such a big turnout - and that so many of you have decided to join the guild!

Earlier this week, we became officially part of the international Modern Quilt Guild, which is very exciting. Everyone who has signed up to be a member of the guild should have received an email from the Modern Quilt Guild enabling you to set up an account and login to the MQG community site. We now have a Tasmanian Modern Quilt Guild group in the group section - so please follow us, as it will be a really great platform to share information about meetings, workshops, swaps and sewing days. All new members from will get access to this site as well.

The Name Tag Swap is underway - if you signed up for the swap you should have received an email with your partner's details. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us.

Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 1st October at the New Town Bay Rowing Club - upstairs in the function room. It is a fantastic space, with lots of room - and if you are running a bit late, you will enter at the back of the space. We would love to see you there!

  1. I've almost finished my name tag, can't wait to give it to the recipient!

  2. It's great to see so much excitement about the Tassie Modern Quilt Guild. I find the whole modern quilt movement very appealing and look forward to seeing the wonderful work that I'm sure will be produced by our members.
